Remarks: A species of the sublittoral with depth range from 11 to about 600 m. As in all species of this genus mentioned here, no data on substratum preference are available. Stock (1986: 427) reported the species from the Caribbean coast of Colombia for the first time, and from a remarkably shallow depth (11–13m).
Distribution: Western Atlantic, from the Caribbean southwards to Brazil.
