Distribution. Hong Kong, Taiwan, South China Sea; Red Sea; Indian Ocean; Indonesia; Japan; Sulu Sea; Philippines; Australian.
Remarks. This species was reported by Banner & Banner (1978) and Liu (2008) from the South China Sea, but not found in the present specimens.
