( Figs 8 View FIGURES 1–8 , 16 View FIGURES 13–16 , 19 View FIGURES 17–19 )

Type material. CHINA, Yunnan: Holotype ♁, Xiaodifangxin Village (24.87°N, 98.75°E), Tengchong , 2116 m, 12.VIII.2014, leg. KJ Teng et al., slide No. XZX20516. GoogleMaps

Paratypes: 1♁ 4♀, same data as holotype, slide Nos. XZX20515♁, XZX20517 GoogleMaps ♀, XZX20649 ♀.

Diagnosis. The new species can be distinguished from its close allies by the asymmetrical dorso-proximal processes of the costa and the aedeagus evenly serrate on one margin distally.

Description. Adult ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 1–8 ). Wingspan 14.0 – 18.0 mm.

Head yellow. Labial palpus in male yellow, second palpomere with black scales near apex on ventral surface; in female, second palpomere black at apex. Antenna yellow; scape black at base, flagellum ringed with black on dorsal surface.

Thorax. Mesonotum and tegula black basally, yellow distally. Forewing yellow, with yellowish brown scales; costal margin with a rectangular black speckle along basal 1/3, with a large black spot beyond distal 1/3; tornal spot black; in male costal and tornal spots diffused and forming a large blotch that extends inward medially; discal, discocellular and plical stigmata black; terminal dots black; fringe yellow along termen, black around tornus. Hindwing deep gray; fringe gray basally, yellow distally. Legs yellow with exceptions on ventral surface: femur of foreleg black, tarsus with fifth tarsomere black, tarsus of midleg black at base of first, second as well as third tarsomeres and on entire fifth tarsomere, tibiae of fore- and midlegs black, ringed yellow at middle and apex; on outer surface: tibia of hindleg black, ringed with yellow at middle and apex, tarsus black at base of each tarsomere.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 13–16 ). Uncus sublanceolate, narrowed from base to basal 1/5, then widened to basal 2/3, finally narrowed to obtusely rounded apex; with a long seta at basal 1/4 laterally. Gnathos with basal arm banded, shorter than half length of ventral plate; ventral plate axe-shaped, wider than long, obtusely rounded at apex. Tegumen narrowed medially; lateral arm elongate, widened to obtuse apex. Valva wide at base, gradually narrowed to basal 1/3, then widened to near obtusely rounded apex, with dense setae in distal half; costa banded, reaching about basal 2/3 length of costal margin; dorso-proximal processes asymmetrical: left process slightly shorter than half length of valva, subrectangular, rounded at apex, with small triangular process before dorso-distal 1/3, with small teeth and wrinkles dorso-distally; right process subtriangular, about 1/6 length of valva. Sacculus shorter than half length of valva, narrowed to rounded apex, folded ventrobasally. Saccus triangular. Aedeagus approximately 2/3 length of valva, gradually widened to basal 1/3, distal 2/3 uniformly wide, serrate on one margin.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 19 View FIGURES 17–19 ). Papilla analis bell-shaped, setose. Eighth sternal plate with long setae at middle on posterior margin. Antrum wider than long, arched laterally, produced to triangular posterolateral process narrowed obliquely outward to pointed apex. Ductus bursae shorter than corpus bursae, with dense granules. Corpus bursae subelliptical, not well separated from ductus bursae.

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the type locality, Tengchong, Yunnan Province.
