Diagnosis. Recognisable by the combination of the following characters: body colouration red-brown, antennomeres VII, VI and VIII subequal, pronotum with the area between the postero-medial and posterior denticles distinctly emarginated, pronotal disc lacking impressions and weakly convex.

Description. Body length 3.3–3.8 mm (n=4), elongate, 2.75× longer than wide; colour uniform red-brown, legs paler; pubescence long, pale, appressed and conspicuous; surface weakly glossy. Head transverse, 1.78× wider than long; puncturation moderately impressed and dense medially with punctures separated by about their diameter, increasing in size and density laterally with punctures separated by distinctly less than their diameter; setae long, fine and appressed, conspicuous; microsculpture faintly reticulate, surface weakly glossy; eyes small, moderately projecting, ocular index 0.72, moderately coarsely faceted, postocular denticle absent; antennae as in Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 B, antennomeres VII, VI and VIII subequal. Pronotum transverse, 1.28× wider than long, widest at about midpoint, sides broadly rounded; lateral margins explanate, moderately reflexed, anterior denticle obsolete, anteromedial denticle broadly obtuse, postero-medial and posterior denticles obtuse with area between the denticles distinctly emarginate; disc not impressed, weakly convex; puncturation as for head with a narrow, median, impunctate strip; setation as for head, microsculpture faintly reticulate. Elytra elongate, 1.83× longer than wide, sides subparallel; epipleura moderately explanate; puncturation moderately dense but weakly impressed basally, becoming more dense and deeply impressed laterally, puncturation faint on disc; setation long, appressed and conspicuous; microsculpture coriaceous. Genitalia for male as in Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 D, parameres strongly elongate, narrowed basally and tapering apically; internal sac with inconspicuous tooth-like projections basally and lacking a sclerotized apical section.

Type material. Not examined.
