Remarks. This is a new record from the type locality (Kaikoura, South Island) in the green alga Caulerpa browni (C.Agardh) Endlicher. The lengths of these specimens increase the known size range of non-males (2.4– 3.3 mm, Bird op.cit.): manca-II 1.05 mm, manca-III 1.6 mm, and small non-ovigerous female 1.9 mm.
