Aparatanais sp. indet.

Material examined. One non-ovigerous ♀, CR.23495, Stn O. 675/BS.911, between Three Kings Islands and Cape Reinga, 121 m, bryozoans, shell and sponges, 34.3367°S, 173.3633°E, 2 February 1981 GoogleMaps , cruise 7088; one non-ov. ♀ (damaged), Stn GJB/54-11, bay on Kaitawa headland, Whitireia Park, Porirua, LWS, Champia novae-zelandiae (Hook. F. et Harvey) J. Agardh washing, 41.0893°S, 174.8504°E, 12 November 2011.

Remarks. The large female from southeast of the Three Kings Islands, at 121 m, might be A. timutimu but more material is needed to confirm the identity. Ideally, more fresh material of A. timutimu itself is also required.
