Rhinolophus Borneensis Peters, 1861 View in CoL
Valid name: Rhinolophus borneensis Peters, 1861
Syntypes: ZMB 2533 View Materials (two specimens, split by Csorba 2002 into 2533.1 and 2533.2), bodies in alcohol, skulls extracted (fragments); “Labuan” = Labuhan, W-Java, Indonesia; collected by F. Jagor, between 1857 and 1861 .
Comment: Until recently these two syntypes were labelled “ Rhinolophus minor , type, Labuan, Java ” ( Csorba 2002), and considered by this author (p. 221) as “types”. However, in Csorba (2002: legend fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 ) ZMB 2533.1 is erroneously called “ holotype ” instead of possibly a lectotype, which is not formally designated in Csorba.
