Description. Adult ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1 – 6 ). Wingspan 30 mm in female. Frons and vertex white; labial palpi porrect, brown; simple on antennae, yellowish white. Patagia and tegulae white; scarlet spots on tegulae and mesothorax. Forewing white, with yellowish tinge at costa; a subbasal scarlet line from costa to median nervure, constricted in the middle; a scarlet spot in the middle of cell; a waved medial line, excurved in the cell and paler towards costa; two unequal spots beyond it; three large sub marginal spots, one near termen more scarlet; a yellowish band from apex to vein M3. Hindwing white, with fuscous, short discoidal band. Abdomen slender, dark, covered with white scales ( Kirti et al., 2013, from the original description).

Male genitalia. Unknown.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 12 – 15 ). Anterior apophyses very small than posterior papilla analis beset with long setae; ductus bursae short, sclerotized; ductus seminalis entering cervix bursae; cervix bursae sclerotized; corpus bursae irregularly shaped; posteriorly constructed and sclerotized; prominent signum present ( Kirti et al., 2013).

Material examined. Type series. 5 females, India, Meghalaya, Jowai (1290 m), 8.IX.2009 ; 1 female, Shillong (1350 m), 7.IX.2009, Joshi, R. coll. (Punjabi Univ., Patiala , Punjab) .
