Material examined. PAKISTAN, [Punjab,] Kala Shah Kaku, 12. vii. 2012, Saleem Akhtar ( NIBGE).

Remarks. This is the first record of this species from Pakistan. Hippotion boerhaviae has a broad range, from northeastern Pakistan, through India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand, southeastern China ( Hong Kong and Guangdong), Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia and New Guinea, to eastern Australia, the Solomon Islands and New Caledonia ( Pittaway & Kitching, 2013). Adults can only be reliably distinguished from H. rosetta by examination of the male genitalia; the larvae are more distinct.
