The Clinterocera discipennis species group
Body comparatively large, usually longer than 17 mm; body color usually black and red (orange); pronotum usually red (orange); dorsal surface mat; elytra flat, with numerous setiferous punctures; terminal spiracle slightly convex; pygidium surface glabrous; tarsi comparatively slender.
This species group comprises two species distributed in south China ( Ma 1992, 1993a, 1995, 2002 b, 2004; Li 2004; Sasaki 2007; Krajčik 2011), and Laos and Vietnam ( Paulian 1961; Sakai & Nagai 1998; Sakai 2008).
