Type locality. Miranda , state of Mato Grosso, Brazil .

Distribution. Recorded in Bolivia, Brazil, and Paraguay ( Plt. 69A View Plate 69 ). Recorded in western and southern Cerrado, Pantanal, Chaco, and Amazonian savanna ( Plt. 69A View Plate 69 ) at low elevations ( Plt. 69B View Plate 69 ). Previous maps and taxonomy in Silva and Rodrigues (2008). Observed in the field in seasonally flooded open areas adjacent to semidecidual forest ( Martins et al., 2002).
