Type locality. Serra das Araras Ecological Station , Porto Estrela, state of Mato Grosso, Brazil .

Distribution. Endemic to Brazil, known from a single record at the type locality, in the Cerrado, near its contact with Chiquitano Dry Forest ( Plt. 29A View Plate 29 ) at intermediate elevations ( Plt. 29B View Plate 29 ). Observed in the field in semideciduous forest (CCN, collector of the holotype, pers. obs.).
