Type locality. São Marcos , near the confluence of Rio Uriracuera and Rio Tacutu, state of Roraima, Brazil .

Distribution. Known from Brazil, Guyana, and Suriname on the Guiana Shield ( Plt. 19A View Plate 19 ). In Brazil, restricted to Guianan savannas and northernmost Amazonia ( Plt. 19A View Plate 19 ), mostly at low elevations ( Plt. 19B View Plate 19 ). No detailed field data on habitat use are available for this species.
