Type locality. Guyana .

Distribution. Known from Bolívia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela, in Amazonian forest ( Plt. 201A View Plate 201 ). In Brazil, widespread in Amazonia ( Plt. 201A View Plate 201 ), mostly at low elevations ( Plt. 201B View Plate 201 ). Observed in the field in primary and secondary forest ( Martins and Oliveira, 1998; Silva et al., 2011).
