Type locality. Brazil .

Distribution. Known from Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay ( Plt. 364A View Plate 364 ). In Brazil, widespread and restricted to Pampas Grasslands ( Plt. 364A View Plate 364 ) at low elevations ( Plt. 364B View Plate 364 ). Observed in the field in open areas and forest ( Martins et al., 2008b; Bérnils, 2009; Araújo et al., 2010; Forlani et al., 2010).
