The drawings of the supposed N. martynovia given by Zwick (1971) correspond to N. dromokeryx and subsequent misidentifications may have occurred.

Distribution in Turkey. Artvin ( Theischinger 1976a); Artvin, Erzurum, Gümüşhane ( Theischinger 1976b); Ankara , Bolu ( Kazancı 1982); Erzurum ( Kazancı 2009a); Giresun, Trabzon ( Kazancı 2009b); Trabzon ( Kazancı 2013); country record only: listed from Turkey ( Kazancı 1983b; Kazancı 2008). Distribution and ecology. Caucasus, eastern Pontus (Giresun—Artvin—Erzurum). A strongly orophilic species that occurs in high mountain streams (1500–2500 m). Adults emerge in late spring and summer (VI–VIII).
