Distribution in Turkey. Rize ( Theischinger 1976a); Artvin, Rize ( Vinçon & Sivec 2001); Rize ( Kazancı 2009a); Rize ( Kazancı 2013); country record only: listed from Turkey ( Kazancı 1983b; Kazancı 1999; Kazancı 2008). Map ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 ).

Distribution and ecology. Caucasus and northeastern Anatolia. In Turkey it is restricted to the Artvin region (eastern Pontus). It occurs in high mountain brooks (1500–2200 m) and emerges in spring and summer (V–VIII).
