Deltocephalus campanus Naudé 1926: 44 View in CoL , South Africa

Remarks. The identity of this species was not confirmed by Theron (1975: 189), who noted that the species was only known from the female type. However, Michael Stiller (pers. comm.) writes: “This species is definitely Vilargus , and probably V. pumilicans (Naudé) . In Naudé (1926) the latter was described from 5 males and campanus from one female, from widely separated localities. I have examined many specimens and need to include another five species in this genus, with all females depicting the characteristic posterior emargination of sternite 7”.
