Rotylenchulus View in CoL spp. (reniform nematodes)
Rotylenchulus reniformis (Linford and Oliveira) is the most economically important member of its genus, distributed worldwide in tropical and subtropical regions.In the southeastern U.S. it is a serious pathogen of cotton, soybean and other crops, but has not yet been studied specifically on hemp. In South Africa, Dippenaar et al. (1996) found reniform nematodes (species not identified) as a natural constituent in the field soil of their experiments but did not state whether they parasitized hemp.
