Kuntze (lecto-, NY 00320139!, here designated) .
REMARKS
Basionym for Ensete gigantea (Kuntze) Nakai (1948: 12) . Cheesman (1948a: 104) and Moore (1957) consider that the name is dubious. We were not able to identify the lectotype sheet, but the specimen is a Musa .
