Xyrias revulsus Jordan & Snyder, 1901:869, fig. 16 ( Type locality: Misaki, Japan).

Voucher specimens: ASIZP 70172 (Da-xi); NMMB-P16531, 16532 (Dong-gang).

Remarks. Although Tan (1983) recorded this species from Diao-yu Island, specimens of this species were recently collected and represent the first confirmed record from Taiwan. It is a relatively deepwater species collected by bottom trawl off northeastern and southwestern Taiwan.
