Description. ♀. Apterous; body length 5.9–6.9 mm. Head black, except clypeus, mandible and narrow stripe along orbits and on malar space testaceous; antenna brown, except scape and pedicel testaceous; mesosoma and metasoma black; legs black, except tarsi testaceous. Antenna clavate; antennomeres in following proportions: 10:7:25:14:12:1 2:11:10:10:12. Head very slightly excavated, almost flat, dull, with short sparse setae, granulate and slightly rugose; temple distinct; frontal line complete; occipital carina absent; POL = 3; OL = 2; OOL = 10. Palpal formula 6/3. Pronotum dull, crossed by strong transverse impression, strongly granulate, with long sparse setae. Mesoscutum dull, rugose, granulate and sculptured by strong longitudinal keels, without lateral pointed apophyses, with long sparse setae. Mesoscutellum dull, granulate, sloping anteriorly. Metanotum excavated behind mesoscutellum ( Fig. 208H View FIGURE 208 ), flat, granulate and reticulate rugose. Metapectal-propodeal disc dull, with long sparse setae, granulate; propodeal declivity granulate and with slight tracks of few transverse striae (striae more visible on sides of propodeal declivity). Meso- and metapleuron dull, granulate and rugose. Meso-metapleural suture distinct and complete. Protarsomeres in following proportions: 18:4:6:15:25. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 211B View FIGURE 211 ) without subdistal tooth, with one row of seven bristles, with proximal half very broad. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 211B View FIGURE 211 ) with three rows of 24 lamellae; apex with at least 40 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/0/1.

Type: ♀ holotype: MOZAMBIQUE: Niassa, Cuamba, Mozambique Catholic University Campus , reared from an adult of Hecalus virescens (Distant) , C. 26.IV.2002, B. 30.IV.2002, Sf. 15.V.2002, M. Olmi leg. ( MOLC) . Other material: SOUTH AFRICA: KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg, Chase Valley , 29°34.28’S 30°21.59’E, 24.V.1987, D.J. Brothers leg., 1♀ ( DJBC) GoogleMaps .

Hosts. Cicadellidae ( Guglielmino et al. 2013) : in Mozambique: Hecalus virescens (Distant) .
