Description. ♀. Apterous; body length 3.7–4.8 mm. Completely ferruginous, except petiole black. Antenna cla- vate; antennomeres in following proportions: 24:13:40:24:20:17:15:12:12:16. Head ( Fig. 195B View FIGURE 195 ) excavated, dull, granulate; frontal line complete; occipital carina incomplete, only shortly present on sides of lateral ocelli; POL = 4; OL = 5; OOL = 21. Palpal formula 6/3. Pronotum crossed by strong transverse impression, with collar shiny and slightly granulate and disc dull and strongly granulate. Mesoscutum dull, granulate, without lateral pointed apophyses. Metanotum dull, transversely striate, weakly excavated behind mesoscutellum ( Fig. 195C View FIGURE 195 ), laterally slightly protruding (protrusions slightly pointed). Metapectal-propodeal disc dull, granulate, very sloping anteriorly ( Fig. 195C View FIGURE 195 ); propodeal declivity transversely striate. Mesopleuron and metapleuron not transversely striate. Meso- metapleural suture distinct and complete. Protarsomere 1 shorter than 4 (14:16). Enlarged claw ( Fig. 195E View FIGURE 195 ) with one large subdistal tooth and one row of eight lamellae. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 195E View FIGURE 195 ) with two rows of approximately 22–24 lamellae; apex with approximately 20 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/0/1.

Material examined. Types: ♀ holotype: SOUTH AFRICA: Eastern Cape, Port St. Johns , 29.I–5.II.1924, R.E. Turner leg. ( NHMUK). Paratype: same locality label as holotype, XII.1923, 1 ♀ ( NHMUK).
