Antenna clavate; antennomeres of holotype in following proportions: 10:5:14:11:9.5:8:6.5:6:6:8. Head dull; frons and vertex completely reticulate rugose or sculptured by very large punctures; occasionally frons with more or less large smooth and finely punctured area in front of anterior ocellus; rarely (in ♀ from South Africa, Cathe- dral Peak Nature Reserve) posterior half of frons sculptured by numerous parallel longitudinal and irregular keels; temple reticulate rugose; frontal line complete; occipital carina complete; POL = 6; OL = 3.5; OOL = 9; OPL = 7; TL = 9; greatest breadth of lateral ocelli shorter than POL (3:6). Mesoscutum reticulate rugose, except posterior third or half strongly punctate and unsculptured among punctures. Notauli absent, or shortly present near anterior margin of mesoscutum. In specimen from South Africa, 32°24.561’S 25°05.946’E, notauli reaching about 0.5 × length of mesoscutum. Mesoscutellum and metanotum punctate, unsculptured among punctures. Metapectal-propodeal disc reticulate rugose, without transverse posterior keel; propodeal declivity without longitudinal keels. Forewing partly hyaline and partly slightly darkened; distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein longer than proximal part (14:9). Protarsomeres of holotype in following proportions: 15:4:4:12:15. In other ♀♀ from South Africa, KwaZulu-Natal, including some paratypes, protarsomere 1 about twice as long as 4. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 26B View FIGURE 26 ) with 1 small subapical tooth, without bristles or setae. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 26B View FIGURE 26 ) with one row of approximately 31 short and small lamellae; apex with about 5 small lamellae, in addition to 3 longer lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.
