Description. Male (holotype). Measurements: dorsal scutum length: 4.6; dorsal scutum width: 4.6; femur IV length: 7.2.

Dorsum ( Figs. 1 View FIGURE 1 A and 8A). Elevated (non-flattened) carapace and dorsal areas; dorsal scutum type gamma. Anterior margin of carapace with a row of tubercles and frontal hump small-tuberculate. Anterior corners of carapace with 3 high tubercles (paramedian largest). Carapace small-tuberculate, less conspicuous at the colored patches. Elevated and dome-shaped ocularium, with a paramedian pair of large, pointed tubercles and small tubercles, sparse and surrounding the eyes. Scutal grooves I–IV inconspicuous, lateral borders of dorsal scutum tuberculate, large tubercles between scutal areas I–IV. Areas I–IV covered with sparse small rounded tubercles, those near the margins larger. Scutal areas I–III each with a pair of large rounded tubercles. Area IV with a pair of large spines. Posterior margin of dorsal scutum with a paramedian pair of large, posteriorly-curved spines, 7 tubercles of various sizes and one row of setiferous tubercles between them. Free tergites I–III each with one row of 8, 6 and 5 tubercles, respectively.

Venter ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 A). Coxa I with rows of setiferous tubercles. Coxae II–IV covered with sparse, rounded tubercles. Coxa III with spiniform tubercles grouped near the trochanter and proximally to coxa II; its posterior margin with a row of spiniform tubercles. Coxa IV tuberculate, with large and spiniform apical tubercles. Genital operculum with small setiferous tubercles; stigmatic area covered with small, sparse, rounded tubercles. Sternites I–V each with a row of 15, 17, 14, 12 and 7 setiferous tubercles, respectively; the middle tubercles inconspicuous. Anal operculum with sparse, rounded tubercles of many sizes, and a prominent group on its basal extremity: a basal median pair and a distal group of 3.

Chelicera. Base of segment I densely covered with small tubercles; bulla covered with spiniform and setiferous tubercles. Segments II–III with 7 and 8 teeth, respectively.

Pedipalp ( Figs. 4 View FIGURE 4 A–B and 5A–B). Coxa with a row of spiniform tubercles on ventro-apical margin. Trochanter with a pair of ventro-apical tubercles and many small dorsal tubercles. Femur ventrally flattened, with a ventroapical tubercle curved prolaterally and 2 rows of 6 tubercles: a ventral one, with longer tubercles, and a dorsal one, with wider tubercles. Tibia ventrally concave. Tibia and tarsus dorsal region and lateral margins with many setae.

Legs ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 A–B). Coxa I with a large prolateral and a small retrolateral apophysis, the latter placed near the prolateral apophysis of coxa II. Coxa II with a prolateral and a retrolateral apophysis, the latter placed near the prolateral apophysis of coxa III. Coxa III with a prominent prolateral apophysis. Coxa IV tuberculate, wide, entirely visible in dorsal view, its length reaching as far as the scutal area IV, with a large apical, prolateral apophysis small-tuberculate. Trochanters I–IV with sparse tubercles. Trochanter IV with 2 large tubercles: a prolateral one curved dorsally and a retrolateral one; another smaller, retrolateral, median prominence. Femur IV slightly curved dorsally. Femora–metatarsi I–III with longitudinal rows of small pointed tubercles. Femur– metatarsus IV with longitudinal rows of large pointed tubercles. Enlarged basitarsi I and III. Prominent tarsal processes III and IV. Tarsal segmentation: 5(3) –?; 7–8; 5; 5–?.

Color: In ethanol ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 A). Pale yellow (centroid 92) small pair of patches anterior to the ocularium. Paleyellow patches over groove I, from the lateral of the ocularium to lateral margins of scutal area IV, interrupted on part of the scutal area II. Carapace, lateral and posterior scutal margins brown (centroid 81). Pale yellow thin line on posterior scutal margin. Scutal lateral border from areas I–III pale orange-yellow (centroid 73). Areas I–IV green-brown (centroid 111) dappled pale orange-yellow. Scutal areas I–IV, scutal tubercles, free tergites and sternites brown. Anal operculum green-brown with brown tubercles. Chelicera and pedipalp brown dappled orange-yellow (centroid 70). Pedipalp and coxae I–III brown. Coxa IV pale yellow with its inferior margin, tubercles and apophysis brown. Genital operculum brown and genital area pale yellow. Trochanters tubercles brown. Trochanters orange-yellow dappled brown. Femora legs yellow (centroid 89) and patellae–tarsi and longitudinal rows of tubercles brown. Live specimen ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 A). In contrast with the ethanol presented colors, paleyellow parts are replaced by greenish-yellow (centroid 104), brown by dark-brown (centroid 65), light-orangishyellow by dark-orangish-yellow (centroid 72), greenish-brown by olive (centroid 107), orangish-yellow by deeporangish-yellow (centroid 71) and yellow by greenish-yellow (centroid 119).

Male genitalia ( Figs. 6 View FIGURE 6 A–B and 7A–B). Two pairs of small macrosetae on truncus (group B). Ventral-plate rectangular with concave distal margin; 2 large latero-apical, curved, distally oriented pairs of macrosetae (C1 + C2); 3 meso-lateral, proximally oriented pairs of macrosetae: the apical one larger (C3), the middle one smaller (D) and the basal one median (A); 2 pairs of paramedian small macrosetae on the ventral plate, visible only in lateral view (E). Glans wrinkled and stylus laterally flattened. Stylus apex with short projections.

Variation in males (N=5): Measurements: dorsal scutum length: 4.5–4.9; dorsal scutum width: 4.3–4.7; femur IV length: 6.3–7.2. Dorsum: set of 3–4 high tubercles on the anterior lateral carapace. Ocularium with 2 or 3 large paramedian tubercles. Row of 3–7 tubercles on the posterior scutal margin. Free tergites I and III with 7–8 and 5–6 tubercles, respectively. Venter: sternites I–V with 14–19, 14–17, 11–15, 10–12 and 7 or 8 tubercles, respectively. Group of 3–8 rounded tubercles on the basal extremity of the anal operculum. Chelicera: Segments II–III with 6–8 and 8–10 teeth, respectively. Color: margin of scutal areas I–IV with patches interrupted or not on scutal area II and entire or divided on scutal area I. With or without patches anterior to the ocularium. Tarsal segmentation: tarsus II with 7 or 8 segments.

Female (N=5). Measurements: dorsal scutum length: 5.0–5.1; dorsal scutum width: 4.6–5.0; femur IV length: 4.6–5.1. Dorsum ( Figs. 1 View FIGURE 1 B, 8B and 9B): set of 2–4 high tubercles on the anterior lateral carapace. Ocularium with all tubercles similar sized. Row of 8–13 tubercles on the posterior scutal margin. Free tergites I–III with 8–11, 7 or 8 and 5 or 6 tubercles, respectively. Legs: coxa IV narrower, with only its posterior region visible in dorsal view, its length reaching as far as the scutal area IV, with a small dorso-apical apophysis. Smaller apical tubercles of trochanter IV. Basitarsi I and III normal-sized.
