Type species: Cladorhiza moniqueae Ekins, Erpenbeck & Hooper, 2020 .

Definition: Cladorhizidae with anchorate anisochelae and a pedunculate teardrop shaped body, with tentacular processes on the trailing edge.

Etymology: Bathy Gr. deep, tentacular L. (pl.) tentacles (f.)
