Syntype, female, red ring label “ Type ” / “ AUSTRALIA ” / [with handwritten] “loc. erroneous” / [with handwritten] “ sinuosa Warr. ” / [with handwritten] “ Racotis sinuosa 1894 Warr. type” / [with handwritten] “ Racotis ? squalida Butl. ” / [printed] “ Rothschild Bequest B.M. 1939-1” ( NHMUK) .
Taxonomic note. In the original description, Warren (1894) refers to a male and a female syntype from North India. During the preparation of this paper, a female syntype specimen was traced in the collection of the NHMUK, with locality label indicating Australia as provenance. In either case, the locality data are undoubtedly erroneous.
