Phareicranaus festae Roewer, 1925: 23 View in CoL ; Kury 2003: 96. (Holotype male “Cotypus male, Ecuador, San Jose, SMF-271/10”, examined).

Diagnosis. Body brown. Anterior margin with two tubercles each side, five on center. Ocularium with a pair of long and divergent yellow spines, two anterior tubercles and six posterior. Prosoma with white tubercles between ocularium and groove I. Area I with 8–11 white tubercles and one larger each side; II with four white tubercles; III with two black spines slightly divergent, four posterior tubercles. Lateral margin with white tubercles near groove I. Posterior margin with 14 white tubercles. Free tergite I with six tubercles; II with two central long yellow spines, two lateral tubercles each side; III with two median spines, four central tubercles, one tubercle each side. Chelicera: segment I with two small tubercles, bulla with small frontal tubercles. Pedipalpal femur with row of six tubercles, with one dorsal and one lateral row of small tubercles; trochanter with one large ventral and one small tubercles, two dorsal; patella and tibia with small dorsal tubercles; tibia mesal, ectal IiIi; tarsus mesal iIiIi, ectal IiIi. Coxa IV with dorsoapical wide and short tubercle with one small ventral apophysis (as long as wide spine on venter). Trochanter IV with one dorsal tubercle, one mesoapical, one ectoapical slightly larger than others on the segment. Femur IV straight, with median and ectal curved tubercles, both smaller than podomere diameter. Tarsal formula 8, 14, 9, 10.

Color. Dorsal scutum dark-brown, legs II–IV darker than scutum. Area II lighther than remaining of scutum. Tubercles and spines of ocularium yellowish, spines of area III with tips blackish.

Male genitalia. Ventral plate slightly concave on distal border, lateral borders concave on base to first setae, almost straight to apex. With basal setae, 4 distal (distalmost longer, placed on apex), all setae conical; 2 small setae ventral than distal group of setae. Stylus with apex inflated, with stylar apophysis ( Fig. 10 A, B).

Note. The holotype was previous housed at the Museo Regionale di Scienze Naturali di Torino (See Kury 2003) and is now in the Naturmuseum Senckenberg.
