Phareicranaus calcariger ( Roewer, 1913) View in CoL comb. n.
( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 A, B)
Acanthocranaus calcariger Roewer 1913: 412 , fig. 163; (Male lectotype, two females paralectotypes, here designated, and one immature “ types, male, two females, one pullus, Surinam, SMF-856”, dried specimens that was rehidrated, examined); Kury 2003: 89.
Diagnosis. Anterior margin with two tubercles each side and two on central part. Ocularium with two long, slightly divergent spines. Lateral margin with minute tubercles from coxa II to groove III. Area I with two tubercles; II smooth; III with two long and divergent spines, two tubercles between spines. Posterior margin with 12 tubercles.
Free tergite I with seven tubercles; II–III with two long spines each. Segment I with four tubercles; bulla with one long tubercle and several smaller on frontal part; III L-shaped. Pedipalpal trochanter with two ventral and four dorsal tubercles; femur with ventral row of six tubercles (basal larger), with lateral and dorsal rows of tubercles, with one mesal subapical tubercle, one dorsal large (a little smaller than podomer diameter); tibia and tarsus lost. Coxa IV with ventral apophysis twice longer than wide, pointed, near stigmata; with several lateral tubercles, dorsoapical apophysis long and pointed. Trochanter IV with three mesal tubercles (apical larger), two ectal. Trochanter I–II with dorso-retrolateral long tubercle. Femur I with ventral row of large tubercles (smaller than diameter of podomere). Femur IV with one mesobasal tubercle twice longer than six distributed to the middle, one long, upcurved, mesal tubercle on the third distal upcurved, 1 long ventral subapical and curved back tubercle, preceded by one small tubercle, and followed by two small tubercles. Tibia IV with mesal row of seven tubercles. Metatarsus IV with mesal row of tubercles (twice long than wide). Tarsal formula: 8, 17, 11, 12.
Color brown, with white patches on lateral margin from coxa II to groove IV, decreasing in size posteriorly. White tubercles on anterior margin, area I, posterior margin and free tergite I.
Male genitalia: Ventral plate slightly concave on distal border, lateral borders concave on base to first setae (median region), convex to apex. With six distal setae each side and without basal group of setae, all setae conical. Stylus with apex inflated, without stylar apophysis ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 A, B).
