Lectotype. FMNH, sex? [‘‘Olivos. C. A. 24.III. 930, C.B.’’ / ‘‘q.’’ / ‘‘argentinien donTypus ch.’’ / ‘‘ densissimus Brnh. Typ. ’’ / ‘‘ densissimus Bernh. Typus, Tinotus Bruch’’ (yellow) / ‘‘Chicago NHMus, M. Bernhauer Collection’’ / ‘‘ LECTOTYPE, Tinotus densissimus Bernhauer , desig. R. S. Hanley 2000’’ (red)] (here designated). Lectotype designation is justified under article 74.1.1 of the ICZN (1999) in order to fix the status of this specimen as the sole namebearing type of this species.
Paralectotypes. FMNH, 2 specimens (on same pin), sex? [‘‘Arg. Olivos, C. A., 24.III.30, leg. C. Bruch’’ / ‘‘ densissimus Bernh. Typus, Tinotus Bruch’’ (yellow) / ‘‘Chicago NHMus, M. Bernhauer Collection’’ / ‘‘PARALECTO TYPE, Tinotus densissimus Bernhauer , desig. R. S. Hanley 2000’’ (yellow)].
Type Locality. ARGENTINA: Tucumán.
