Lectotype. USNM #38968 (Casey Collection), sex? [‘‘N.Y.’’ / ‘‘Casey bequest 1925’’ / ‘‘Type USNM 38968’’ (orange) / ‘‘ imbricatus Csy. ’’ / ‘‘LEC TOTYPE, Tinotus imbricatus Casey , desig. R. S. Hanley 2000’’] (here designated). Lectotype designation is justified under article 74.1.1 of the ICZN (1999) in order to fix the status of this specimen as the sole namebearing type of this species.
Paralectotypes. USNM #38968 (Casey Collection), 2 specimens, sex? [‘‘N.Y.’’ / ‘‘Casey bequest 1925’’ / ‘‘ imbricatus Paratype USNM 38968’’ (orange) / ‘‘ imbricatus Csy. ’’ / ‘‘ PARALECTOTYPE, Tinotus imbricatus Casey , desig. R. S. Hanley 2000’’].
Type Locality. U.S.A.: New York.
