Diagnosis: This species is closely related to A. brevilepigera , but can be distinguished by its golden yellow labial palpus; the costa of the forewing grayish white between basal and postmedian lines, forming a large white patch; sacculus with large, well sclerotized, sharp horn at basal 2/3; and membranous ductus bursae. In A. brevilepigera the labial palpus is dark brown; the forewing bears a grayishwhite spot at outside the antemedian line near the dorsum; the sacculus is bluntangularly protruded at basal 2/3; and the ductus bursae has a round sclerotized plate inside.

Description. Wingspan 18.0–22.0 mm. Vertex with rough reddish white scales. Antenna yellowish brown; male antenna sinus with short compressed black scales except end which bears sparse, long scales; shaft with numerous cilia as long as width of shaft at midsinus. Labial palpus golden yellow, extending distinctly beyond vertex. Maxillary palpus yellowish. Thorax and tegula reddish brown. Ground color of forewing blackish brown, dark brown near dorsum; white scales tinged with reddish near costa between basal and postmedian lines, forming large inverted white triangular patch; antemedian line arched, white, thin, with raised scales forming rounded brown spot at inside, edged with blackish line along outside; discal spots separated, round and blackish; postmedian line sinuate, white and clear, marginally edged with blackish scales; cilia dark brown. Hindwing grayish brown, distal half moreorless darker than basal half; cilia grayish brown. Foreleg black on outer surface, yellowish gray on inner surface; midleg and hindleg with femura and tibiae reddish brown on outer surface, yellowish brown on inner surface, spurs blackish, all inner spurs about twice length of outer ones; tarsi blackish.

Male genitalia ( Figs. 15–18 View FIGURES 15 – 19 ). Uncus slightly concave at caudal margin, with sparse hairs, length 3.0 times width; lateral plate about same length as gnathos. Gnathos about 4/ 5 length of uncus, pointed apically. Valva length 3.0 times width; apex oblique, forming point dorsally; clasper short, length about 1.5 times width, situated at basal 1/3 near costa, with long hairs at apex; costa of valva slightly curved, strongly protruded at basal 1/3, forming a somewhat convex protuberance; sacculus strongly sclerotized, with large well sclerotized sharp horn at basal 2/5. Juxta weakly sclerotized, with very long lateral lobes. Aedeagus 1.4 times length of valva, terminally with many large sclerotized spines forming ring, basal half with sclerotized plate composed of many sclerotized folds. Culcita as in Fig. 17 View FIGURES 15 – 19 .

Female genitalia ( Fig. 19 View FIGURES 15 – 19 ). Ovipositor triangular, with dense hairs. Eighth sternite of abdominal segment well sclerotized, with anterior margin convex, posterior margin flat. Lamella postvaginalis a transverse, narrow, liplike bar, lamella antevaginalis somewhat crescentshaped. Ductus bursae membranous, slightly longer than wide. Corpus bursae membranous, long sacshaped, length 2.5 times width, inner surface with dense granules in posterior 1/3. Signum triangular, strongly sclerotized.

Type material. Holotype ɗ, China: Wuyi Mountain (26º54' N, 116º42' E), Fujian Province, 1100 m, 23.V.2004, Haili Yu, gen. slide No. RYD04533.

Paratypes: 3 ɗ, 8 Ψ, same data as holotype except 1000–1100 m, 22–26.V.2004; 1 ɗ, 1 Ψ, Daiyun Mountain (25º41' N, 118º11' E), Dehua County, Fujian Province, 870 m, 13.IX.2002, Xinpu Wang.

Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin prefix flav (yellow) and the Latin palpus (palp), referring to the colour of the labial palpus.
