Diagnosis. Dorsalandventralpartsofidisomawithoutornamentation, butsometile- likeornamentationpresentnearinnerendofmetapodalline.

Dorsalandventralsetaesmoothandneedle- like. Genitalshieldoffemalelin- guliform, itssurfacesmooth, butornamentedbysomeovalpitsonlateral partsatlevelofcoxaeIIIandIV.

Description. Female. Lengthofidiosoma 540–550 μm, width 390–400 μm (n=2). Shapeofidiosomaoval, colorbrown, wholeidiosomastronglysclerotized.

Dorsalidiosoma (Fig. 32). Marginalanddorsalshieldsfusedanteriorly. Marginal shieldwithoutornamentation, allmarginalsetaesmoothandneedle- like (ca 18–23 μm). Dorsalshieldwithoutsculpturalpattern, onlythreepairsofconspicuousmusclesscarssituated oncaudalareaofdorsalshield. Dorsalsetaesimilarinshapeandlengthtomarginalsetae.

Ventralidiosoma (Fig. 33). Sternalsetae St1–3 short (ca 8–12 μm), St4 longer (ca 16 μm), allsetaesmoothandneedle- like. St1 situatednearanteriormarginofsternalshield, St2 atlevelofanteriormarginofcoxaeIII, St3 atlevelofanteriormarginofcoxaeIVand. St4 situatednearbasaledgesofgenitalshield. Surfaceofsternalshieldwithoutornamenta- tion. Onepairoflyriformfissuressituatednear St1, otheronepairnear St4. Ventralshield bearingshort (ca 18–22 μm), thinandneedle- likesetae. Adanalsetaeandpostanalseta similarinshapeandlengthtoventralsetae. Metapodallinepresent, sometile- likeornamentationpresent (Fig. 34) nearinnerendofmetapodalline. Otherareaofventralshield smooth. Onepairoflyriformfissuresplacednearsetae ad2 andnearsetae V2 (Fig. 34). Pedofossaedeep, withsmoothsurfaceandwithseparatefurrowsfortarsiIV.

Genitalshield ca 149–150 μmlongand ca 83–85 μmwide, itsshapelinguliform, with roundedacuminateanteriormargin, itssurfacesmooth, butitornamentedbysomeoval pitsonlateralpartsatlevelofcoxaeIIIandIV. GenitalshieldsituatedbetweencoxaeIIand IV (Fig. 37). Prestigmatidpartofperitremeslongandhook- like, poststigmatidpartshort, stigmatasituatedbetweencoxaeIIandIII. Tritosternum (Fig. 35) withnarrowbase, tritos- ternallaciniawithasingleandmarginallyserratebranch.

Gnathosoma (Fig. 35). Corniculihorn- like, internalmalaewide, slightlylongerthan corniculiandapicallysmooth. Hypostomalsetae h1 long (ca 70 μm), smoothandneedle- like. Setae h2 shorter (ca 38 μm) andmarginallyserrate, h3 similarto h1 inshape, but ca 61 μmlong, h4 smoothandshort (ca 10 μm). Cheliceraewithinternalsclerotizednode, fixed digitlongerthanmovabledigit, bearingonecentralteeth. Apicalpartoffixeddigithasa hole- likesensoryorgan (Fig. 36). Epistomemarginallyserrateandapicallypilose (Fig. 35). Palpsbearingtwomarginallyserratesetaeontrachanter, othersetaeonpalpsegments smoothandneedle- like.

Legs. Alllegswithsmallambulacralclawsandwithsmoothandneedle- likesetae, but robustsetaesituatedontarsiIIIandIV. LegII–IVwithlargelateralflapsonfemurs (Figs 39–42).

Male. Lengthofidiosoma 510–530 μm, width 370–380 μm (n=2). Shapeanddorsal aspectofidiosomaasinfemale.

Ventralidiosoma (Fig. 38). Surfaceofsternalshieldwithoutsculpturalpattern. Six pairsofsmooth, short (ca 7–8 μm) andneedle- likesternalsetaepresent. St1 placednearto anteriormarginofsternalshield, St2 atlevelofanteriormarginofcoxaeII, St3 atlevelof centralareaofcoxaeII, St4 atlevelofcentralareaofcoxaeIII, St5 nearposteriormargin ofgenitalshieldand St6 atlevelofanteriormarginofcoxaeIV. Onepairlyriformfissures situatedbetween St1 and St2, anotherpairoflyriformfissurescanbeseenatlevelofpos- teriormarginofcoxaeIV. Positionandshapeofventralsetaeandornamentationofventral shieldasinfemale. Genitalshieldoval (ca 77–79 μmlongand ca 55–56 μmwide), without sculpturalpatternandsituatedbetweencoxaeIIandIII. Euanalsetaeabsent.

Nymphsandlarvaeunknown.

Etymology. Thisspeciesisnamedaftertheornamentationofgenitalshieldinfemale

specimens.

Remarks. Thenewspeciesbelongstothe Uroobovellaiphidis -grouponthe basisoftheshapeofperitremes, shapeofgenitalshieldoffemalesandpresence ofthemetapodalline. Recentlynumerousspeciesareplacedintothisgroup, butonlyninespeciesarelistedfromSouth- EastAsia, sixspecies ( U. aokii Hiramatsu, 1979 ; U. iketzakii Hiramatsu et Hirschmann, 1978 ; U. itoi Hiramatsu et Hirschmann, 1977 ; U. minagawai Hiramatsu, 1981 ; U. sugiyamai Hiramatsu, 1979 and U. yasumanensis Hiramatsu, 1981 ) aredescribedfromJapan, onespecies wasfoundinthePhilippines ( U. luzonensis HiramatsuetHirschmann, 1992 ), onespeciesfromLaos ( U. laotana WiśniewskietHirschmann, 1992 , butthisspe- cieswasdescribedonthebasisofnymphs), andonespeciesiscollectedinTaiwan ( U. nantouensis HiramatsuetHirschmann, 1992 ). Thepreviouslydescribed specieshavesmoothsurfaceofthegenitalshieldoffemale, butthegenital shieldofthenewspecieshasornamentationonlateralregions, andthetill-like sculpturalpatternneartheinnerendofthemetapodalline, whichcanbeseen inthenewspecies, werenotobservedintheotherknownspecies.
