Bioramix (Cardiobioramix) tenuitarsus sp. nov.
( Figs 5 View FIGURES 5–6 , 58–59 View FIGURES 49–73 , 220 View FIGURES 220–225 )
Description. Body black, weakly shining, antennae, palpi and tarsi brown.
Male ( Figs 5 View FIGURES 5–6 , 58–59 View FIGURES 49–73 , 220 View FIGURES 220–225 ). Head. Anterior margin of epistome straight, surface with dense and fine punctures. Frons and genae weakly convex, surface with dense and fine punctures. Dorsal surface of head with dense and fine punctures. Eyes transverse, anterior margin shallowly emarginate. Antennae ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 5–6 : A) reaching beyond pronotal base, antennomeres II–VIII long cylindrical and thicker at apex, XI sharped-oval. Length (width) ratio of antennomeres II–XI 31 (23): 98 (26): 52 (25): 50 (25): 47 (25): 47 (26): 48 (28): 41 (28): 37 (26): 43 (26).
Prothorax. Pronotum ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 5–6 : B) transverse and weakly convex, 1.5 times as wide as long, 1.9 times as wide as head. Lateral sides widest at middle, arcuately narrowing toward base and apex, weakly emarginate anterior to base. Ratio of width at anterior margin to widest part and base 28: 51: 46. Anterior margin deeply emarginate, posterior one sinuate.Anterior and posterior angles obtuse. Anterior and posterior margins edged laterally, entire lateral margins edged. Dorsal surface with yellow setae, punctures coarse and dense on disc, much denser at sides, widely flattened at middle laterally. Prothoracic hypomera with longitudinal wrinkles and sparse yellow setae. Prosternum anterior to procoxae with yellow setae, apex of prosternal process short and sharp projecting beyond level of procoxae in lateral view.
Pterothorax. Elytra elongate-oval and convex, 1.2 times as long as wide and 1.2 times as wide as pronotum, base wider than pronotum and widest at middle. Surface with sparse, shallow and fine punctures, traces of rows of sparse and large punctures, fine wrinkles and tiny setae. Lateral margins of elytra merging with outer margins of epipleura anterior to apex of elytra and reaching sutural angle, visible at base in dorsal view.
Abdomen with sparse yellow setae, ventrites 1–2 neither depressed nor flattened at middle.
Legs. Profemora stout, with sparse punctures and yellow setae. Protibiae ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 5–6 : D) gradually widened toward apex, underside not concave at apex, inner side with dense yellow hairbrush from middle to apex. Protarsi ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 5–6 : C) narrow than apex of protibiae. Meso- and metafemora longer than profemora. Mesotibiae ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 5–6 : E) gradually widened toward apex, with yellow setae and rufous thick setae. Mesotarsi ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 5–6 : F) narrower than apex of mesotibiae. Metatibiae ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 5–6 : G) slender and straight, with rufous stout setae, inner side with dense yellow setae from middle to apex. Length (width) ratio of pro-, meso- and metafemora 31 (10): 36 (9): 45 (9), that of corresponding tibiae 27 (7): 28 (6): 44 (6), and protarsi 21 (36): 50 (63): 40 (55): 30 (45): 71 (26), mesotarsi 27 (38): 53 (54): 47 (48): 33 (40): 81 (26), metatarsi ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 5–6 : H) 126 (30): 67 (31): 51 (28): 88 (27).
Aedeagus ( Figs 5 View FIGURES 5–6 : I–J, 58–59) 2.6 mm long and 0.9 mm wide. Parameres 1.0 mm long and 0.7 mm wide, widest at base and narrowing toward apex nearly straight, sharped apically, distal part straight in lateral view.
Measurements. Body length: ♂ 12.3 mm and width: ♂ 6.2 mm.
Type material. Holotype: ♂ ( MHBU), CHINA: Sichuan: Banshanmen Township , Danba County, 30°56′04ʺ N, 102°03′04ʺ E, 3046 m, 2.VIII.2009, Zhen-Hua Gao & Yi-Ping Niu leg. GoogleMaps
Distribution. China: Sichuan.
Diagnosis. This new species is similar to Bioramix (Cardiobioramix) prolongata sp. nov. (see diagnosis of B. prolongata ).
Etymology. This species name is derived from its protarsi narrower than the apex of protibiae in males.
