( Figs 13 View FIGURES 13–14 , 90–91 View FIGURES 74–97 , 251 View FIGURES 250–255 )
Description. Body black-brown, shining, antennae, palpi and tarsi brown, elytral surface with metallic sheen.
Male ( Figs 13 View FIGURES 13–14 , 90–91 View FIGURES 74–97 , 251 View FIGURES 250–255 ). Head. Anterior margin of epistome straight, surface with dense and coarse punctures. Frons and genae weakly convex, surface with dense and coarse punctures. Dorsal surface of head with dense and coarse punctures. Eyes transverse, anterior margin shallowly emarginate. Antennae ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 13–14 : A) not reaching pronotal base, antennomeres II–VIII short cylindrical and thicker at apex, IX–X nearly spherical, XI sharped-oval. Length (width) ratio of antennomeres II–XI 21 (19): 37 (22): 27 (19): 25 (20): 27 (19): 27 (17): 26 (19): 21 (17): 23 (19): 34 (20).
Prothorax. Pronotum ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 13–14 : B) transverse and convex, 1.4 times as wide as long and 1.8 times as wide as head. Lateral sides widest at middle, nearly straight narrowing toward base and arcuately narrowing toward apex. Ratio of width at anterior margin to widest part and base 27: 40: 39. Anterior margin nearly straight, posterior one weakly protruding backward. Anterior and posterior angles weakly obtuse. Anterior and posterior margins edged laterally, entire lateral margins edged. Dorsal surface with sparse and moderately coarse punctures on disc, dense and coarse at sides. Prothoracic hypomera with longitudinal wrinkles and sparse yellow setae. Prosternum anterior to procoxae with yellow setae, prosternal process sharply sloping behind procoxae, apex not projecting beyond level of procoxae in lateral view.
Pterothorax. Elytra elongate-oval and convex, 1.4 times as long as wide and 1.2 times as wide as pronotum, base nearly as wide as pronotum and widest at middle. Surface with sparse and fine punctures, fine wrinkles, traces of longitudinal carinae. Lateral margins of elytra merging with outer margins of epipleura anterior to apex of elytra and reaching sutural angle, visible at base in dorsal view.
Abdomen with dense yellow setae, ventrites 1–2 weakly depressed at middle.
Legs. Profemora stout, with sparse punctures and yellow setae. Protibiae ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 13–14 : D) gradually widened toward apex, underside concave at apex, apical margin weakly foliate extended, inner side with dense yellow hairbrush from middle to apex. Protarsi ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 13–14 : C) narrower than apex of protibiae. Meso- and metafemora longer than profemora. Mesotibiae ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 13–14 : E) gradually widened toward apex, with rufous thick setae, inner side with dense yellow hairbrush from middle to apex. Mesotarsi ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 13–14 : F) narrower than apex of mesotibiae. Metatibiae ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 13–14 : G) straight, with rufous thick setae, inner side with dense yellow hairbrush from middle to apex. Length (width) ratio of pro-, meso- and metafemora 21 (8): 19 (7): 26 (8), that of corresponding tibiae 17 (8): 15 (5): 22 (3), and protarsi 22 (23): 30 (47): 24 (53): 11 (36): 56 (19), mesotarsi 22 (30): 29 (43): 24 (39): 17 (27): 41 (18), metatarsi ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 13–14 : H) 52 (23): 39 (24): 32 (22): 64 (22).
Aedeagus ( Figs 13 View FIGURES 13–14 : I–J, 90–91) 2.7 mm long and 0.8 mm wide. Parameres 0.9 mm long and 0.6 mm wide, widest at base and narrowing toward apex, lateral sides weakly emarginate posterior to apex in dorsal view, distal part curved dorsally in lateral view.
Measurements. Body length: ♂ 10.0 mm and width: ♂ 5.0 mm.
Type material. Holotype: ♂ ( MHBU), CHINA: Xizang: between Sênggê Township and Lhozhag County, 4423 m, 19.VI.2010, Ming-Yi Tian leg. [ SCAU].
Distribution. China: Xizang.
Diagnosis. This new species is similar to Bioramix (Leipopleura) tiani sp. nov. (see diagnosis of B. tiani ) and Bioramix (Leipopleura) baxoica sp. nov., but can be distinguished from the latter by the following characters (based on male): (1) pronotum widest at middle, lateral sides not flattened (anterior to base, flattened in B. baxoica ); (2) base of parameres wider.
Etymology. This species name is derived from the type locality—Lhozhag.
