Status in the Arabian Peninsula. Recorded from Oman in original description by Kirchner, Kruckenhauser, Pichler, Borkenhagen & Freyhof (2020); confirmed by Freyhof et al. (2020), Esmaeili et al. 2022), and Sayyadzadeh et al. (2023).
General distribution. Middle East: Wadi Dayqah basin in north-eastern Oman. Habitat: freshwater.
Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula. Oman:Wadi Dayqah basin north-eastern, Ibra Al Sharqiya Governorate, Qufaifa Al Sharqiya Governorate, Wadi Khabbah and Al Hajr Ibri Al Dhahira Governorate.
Economic importance. No commercial importance.
Conservation. Endangered (EN).
