Diagnosis. Adult ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 4 – 13 ) wingspan 29.0–30.0 mm. This species is diagnostic by the male labial palpus with the second segment upturned and forming a right angle with the first segment, third segment curved forward and forming a right angle with the second segment, the forewing with a large round white spot at middle; in the male genitalia by the sub-square juxta deeply concave in broad U shape posteriorly and having a long clavate process from each side of the lateral margin ( Fig. 20 View FIGURES 20 – 23 ); in the female genitalia by having an inverted trapezoidal antrum and a pair of almost equally sized signa ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 24 – 28 ). Termioptycha conjuncta is similar to T. nigrimacularis sp. nov., and the differences between the two species are stated under the proceeding species.
Distribution. China (Hainan, Taiwan); India, Borneo.
Remarks. We herein restored this species to the genus Termioptycha ( Janse 1931) from Salma Walker, 1863 ( Solis 1992) based on the costa having an apical spine, which is unique in Termioptycha . This species is newly recorded in China.
