Diagnosis: The anterior side wavy yellow bands on female metasomal terga are obvious, sometimes these bands are interrupted in middle on T1–T5 ( Fig. 3e View FIGURE 3 ), female clypeus yellow, but with a black large maculation in middle ( Fig. 3c View FIGURE 3 ), propodeal enclosure highly tessellate, punctures shallow and indistinct, posterior lateral margin of axilla and posterior margin of scutellum yellow ( Fig. 3d View FIGURE 3 ); male is similar to Anthidium (A.) pseudophilorum sp. nov., but lateral lobe of T7 longer, recurved and spiniform ( Fig. 4f View FIGURE 4 ), median spine of S7 much shorter than submedian spine ( Fig. 4f View FIGURE 4 ), T2 puncture density lower and size larger in basal half.

Type localities. France: Occitanie: Hérault: Montpellier ( cingulatum ), Algeria: Oran: Oran ( oraniense ), Russia: Urals ( dissectum ), India: Northern India ( imitator ), Italy: Sardinia: Sardinia ( rufispinum ), Azerbaijan: Xanlar: Üçbulaq [as Murut] (undulatofasciatum).

Distribution: Widespread in the Palaearctic from North Africa and Portugal to China and Russia. China (Xinjiang); Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya; Italy, Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan (Chüy; Ysyk-Köl), Uzbekistan, India (Punjab), Russia (North Caucasus, European part, Urals).

Floral association: Leonurus sp., Stachys sp., Salvia sp. ( Lamiaceae ), Lotus sp., Medicago sp., Coronilla sp., Trifolium sp., Onobrychis viciifolia (Fabaceae) , Carduus sp., Centaurea sp., Helianthus sp. ( Asteraceae ) ( Banaszak & Romasenko, 1998; Murao et al., 2015).
