Biology. Most published host records for E. microzonus are of it as a parasitoid in galls of Cynipidae (Hymenoptera) and Tephritidae (Diptera) on herbaceous plants and shrubs ( Askew & Nieves-Aldrey 2000; Askew et al. 2006), and it has been reared from galls of Eurytoma gallephedrae Askew, 1998 (Eurytomidae) . Other host families in Diptera , Coleoptera and Lepidoptera are listed by Noyes (2018). In the present study E. microzonus was uncommon except in Sicilia where it seems to be the commonest Eupelmus species and was reared from seeds of A. ramosus from which the single phytophagous species to emerge was B. insulare .
