Type locality. Ethiopia (Lake Dembel).

Distribution. AF: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo ( Zaire), Ethiopia, Malawi, Mali, Namibia, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo and Zimbabwe.
