Diagnostic characters. This group is well defined by the combinations of the following characters: in male, the abdomen with coremata situated externally, the sub-rectangular uncus, the presence of the culcitula and the lateral processes of the vinculum as well as the sinuous or coiled aedeagus; in female, the sub-quadrate segment VIII, the tergum VIII divided into two sclerites, the presence of the colliculum and the signum with a hook-shaped process.
Remarks. The externally visible coremata were observed only in the macrodelta -group and P. diplobathra in this study.
