1990 Physocypria nipponica n. sp. —Okubo: 3–4, figs 1E–H.

Material examined. 29 specimens from two meters downstream from a large spring near the Echi River, Shiga Prefecture, N35º 12’ 13.4”, E136º 10’ 10.5”, 12 January 2006. All material collected by the author.

Remarks. This species is widespread in Japan, found in rice fields and Lake Biwa ( Okubo 1990; Smith & Janz 2008).
