Diagnosis. This species is similar in appearance to A. amplimacula Falkovitsh but is easily distinguished by the paler subapical patch of the forewing and the long antrum, which constitutes the posterior 1/3 of the ductus bursae of the female genitalia.

Re­description. Adult: Wingspan 16 mm in female. Forewing with costa curved at base then arched towards apex, strongly arched basally, becoming gently arched apically; ground color white; basal patch dark brown, fairly broad, covering 1/3 of forewing; subapical patch indistinct, light brown; apical spot reddish brown, very small, with characteristic tiny, black, subapical costal spot. Hindwing light brown, slightly darker in outer area; cilia long, grayish brown.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 14): Papillae anales slender, long. Apophyses anteriores twice as long as apophyses posteriors. Ostium bursae with antrum trumpet­shaped, representing posterior 1/3 of ductus bursae. Ductus bursae moderately long, approximately the same length as corpus bursae; ductus seminalis originating from middle of ductus bursae. Corpus bursae ovate with two, large, different­sized signa.
