Diagnosis. This species differs from the other species of the genus Leucophenga in having the pleura with brown patches from ketepisternum to anatergite ( Fig. 8L View FIGURE 8 ); surstylus caudally acute ( Fig. 35A View FIGURE 35 ); aedeagus curved ventrad, posterodorsally slightly expanded, distally with numerous irregular, serrated processes, laterally with a short, apically expanded process ( Fig. 35D View FIGURE 35 ).
Description. Ocellar triangle brownish, with ca. 2 or 3 setae above ocellar setae. Frons dark yellow ( Fig. 8J View FIGURE 8 ). Orb 3 and Orb 2 parallel ( Fig. 8J View FIGURE 8 ). Pedicel dark yellow; first flagellomere yellow ( Fig. 8J View FIGURE 8 ). Clypeus dark yellow medially and brownish laterally. Palpus brownish yellow ( Fig. 8J View FIGURE 8 ). Mesonotum mostly dark yellow ( Fig. 8K View FIGURE 8 ). Postpronotal lobe yellow ( Fig. 8L View FIGURE 8 ). Acrostichal setulae in ca. 14–16 irregular rows ( Fig. 8K View FIGURE 8 ). Scutellum brownish yellow, dark brown posteriorly and laterally, yellow at tip ( Fig. 8K View FIGURE 8 ). Katepisternum and mesopleuron mostly yellow ( Fig. 8L View FIGURE 8 ). Wing ( Fig. 4D View FIGURE 4 ): brownish along R 1, the tip of R 2+3 and dm-cu crossvein; costal vein between R 2+3 and R 4+5 distally with ca. 6 or 7 peg-like spinules on ventral surface; R 4+5 and M 1 nearly parallel distally; halter mostly yellowish, with a brown to dark brown patch at knob ( Fig. 8K View FIGURE 8 ). Abdominal tergites dark brown, 2nd tergite yellowish to yellow anteriorly and laterally, 3rd tergite mostly yellowish except for lateral region, setigerous laterally and on posterior margin, 4th and 5th tergites with yellow patches submedially and sublaterally in males ( Fig. 11H View FIGURE 11 ); 2nd tergite mostly yellow, 3rd to 5th tergites with yellow patches submedially and sublaterally in females ( Fig. 11I View FIGURE 11 ). Epandrium pubescent, with ca. 8 setae near posterior margin per side ( Fig. 35A View FIGURE 35 ). Cercus and surstylus pubescent ( Fig. 35A View FIGURE 35 ). Paramere nearly triangular, narrow basally, lacking sensillum ( Fig. 35C View FIGURE 35 ).
