Leucophenga kurahashii Okada, 1987: 91 View in CoL .

Diagnosis. This species differs from the other species of the genus Leucophenga in having the paramere dorsally and distally pubescent but lacking sensillum ( Fig. 18C View FIGURE 18 ); aedeagus curved ventrad, anterodorsally expanded, medioventrally with a small, pubescent projection, distoventrally with several serrated processes ( Fig. 18D View FIGURE 18 ).

Description. Ocellar triangle brown, with ca. 2 or 3 setae above ocellar setae. Frons brownish yellow ( Fig. 5D View FIGURE 5 ). Orb 3 and Orb 2 parallel ( Fig. 5D View FIGURE 5 ). Pedicel brownish dark yellow; first flagellomere yellowish ( Fig. 5D View FIGURE 5 ). Clypeus brownish yellow medially and brown laterally. Palpus yellow ( Fig. 5D View FIGURE 5 ). Mesonotum mostly dark yellow ( Fig. 5E View FIGURE 5 ). Postpronotal lobe brownish yellow ( Fig. 5F View FIGURE 5 ). Acrostichal setulae in ca. 12–14 irregular rows ( Fig. 5E View FIGURE 5 ). Scutellum brownish yellow, brown to dark brown laterally, yellow at tip ( Fig. 5E View FIGURE 5 ). Pleura, katepisternum, and mesopleuron mostly yellowish to yellow ( Fig. 5F View FIGURE 5 ). Wing ( Fig. 2B View FIGURE 2 ): with distinct patterns; costal vein between R 2+3 and R 4+5 distally with ca. 6 or 7 peg-like spinules on ventral surface; R 4+5 and M 1 nearly parallel distally; halter yellow, usually with brownish to brown patches at stem and knob ( Fig. 5E View FIGURE 5 ). Abdominal tergites dark brown, 2nd tergite yellowish medially and laterally, 3rd tergite nearly entirely yellowish except for sublateral region, setigerous laterally and on posterior margin, 5th tergite with a pair of yellow patches submedially in males ( Fig. 9B View FIGURE 9 ); 2nd tergite yellow medially and laterally, 3rd to 6th tergites yellow submedially and laterally in females ( Fig. 9C View FIGURE 9 ). Male terminalia: Epandrium pubescent, with ca. 14 setae near posterior and ventral margins per side ( Fig. 18A View FIGURE 18 ). Cercus and surstylus pubescent ( Fig. 18A View FIGURE 18 ). Paramere slender, narrow basally and apically ( Fig. 18C View FIGURE 18 ).
