Distribution in Iran. West Azarbaijan (Linnavuori 2009), Iran (no locality cited) ( Aukema et al. 2013). General distribution and hosts. Anatolian species, known from Greece, Turkey, Iraq; presence in Israel possible ( Kerzhner & Josifov 1999); living on Salvia sp. and Vicia sp. ( Wagner 1974).
Comments. The relationships of Old-World Herdoniini with the numerous Central- and South-American species should be analyzed more in detail, the monophyly of tribe remaining to establish.
No known copyright restrictions apply. See Agosti, D., Egloff, W., 2009. Taxonomic information exchange and copyright: the Plazi approach. BMC Research Notes 2009, 2:53 for further explanation.
