CURRENT TAXONOMIC STATUS. — Pachygrapsus minutus View in CoL A. Milne-Edwards, 1873.

LECTOTYPE (designated by Poupin et al. 2005: 31). — MNHN-IU-2000-3582 (= MNHN-B3582 ), ♂ 7.6 × 10.4 mm, coll. M. Balansa, New Caledonia. — Original label: “ Pachygrapsus minutus A. Edw., Nelle Calédonie, M. Balansa ”.

PRESERVATION OF THE LECTOTYPE. — Dry.

PARALECTOTYPES. — MNHN-IU-2000-1107 (= MNHN- B3582), 4 ♂ 5.5 × 7.7 – 7.3 × 10.0 mm, same data as lectotype .

PRESERVATION OF THE PARALECTOTYPES. — All are dry specimens.

REMARK

Balansa collected much carcinological material from New Caledonia (see Appendix).
