Distribution. This species was previously recorded from Saudi Arabia by Pont (1991). It was described from Mozambique. In Middle East it was recorded from Yemen (Villeneuve in Becker 1910; van Emden 1948).
Biological remarks. Larvae have been found on human faeces ( Pont 1991).
