Distribution. This species was previously recorded from Saudi Arabia by Pont (1991); Dawah & Abdullah (2009); El-Hawagry et al. (2018). It was described from France. In the Middle East it is known from Iran, Iraq, Oman, Turkey, Yemen and United Arab Emirates ( Pont 1991; Pont et al. 2005; Deeming 2008; Vikhrev 2014).
