Type species Pachymasiphis porulatus Karg, 1996 , here designated.
The genus Pachymasiphis was described by Karg (1996) with two included species. However, Karg did not designate a type species for the genus, so Pachymasiphis Karg, 1996 is a nomen nudum (International Code of Zoological Nomenclature, Article 13). We here make the name of this genus available, with the same name and based on the same taxonomic concept, but with new authorship.
